About Us

Where every child is seen, valued, and empowered to thrive

At Kids Connect Early Learning Centre, we believe children are confident, capable, and curious learners. We partner with whānau to support each child’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth in a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful environment. Our passionate Kaiako foster learning at each child’s own pace, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and a strong sense of belonging that extends beyond their time with us.

Children learn and develop best when their early childhood setting supports a sense of belonging and reflects the richness of their identities, languages, and cultures.” – Te Whāriki

Empowering Young Learners Through Connection — A Partnership of Whānau and Teachers.

We nurture each child’s curiosity and growth through strong connections with whānau. Tamariki are supported to feel confident, valued, and celebrated, in a community that honours their identity, culture, and aspirations.

Our Goals

  • Respectful Relationships:
To foster strong, caring relationships among tamariki, kaiako, and whānau, built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
  • Culture:
To honour and celebrate each child’s culture and identity, ensuring they feel valued and included.
  • Learning & Environment:
To provide meaningful learning experiences in a safe, stimulating, and sustainable environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and connection to the world around them.
E hara taku toa I te toa takitahi

My strength is not in individual effort but in the strength of many

Taking inspiration from this whakutaki, we recognize that working together with our whanau/families and what they bring with them, that gives us our shared purpose to enable our Tamariki to grow healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make valued contribution to Aotearoa New Zealand’s multi-cultural society. We believe that our Kaiako have instilled a love of learning in our Tamariki that will continue throughout their lives, even after they graduate from Kids Connect ELC
